Steve Dennis - Lead vocals, rhythm guitar, percussion: Steve is a founding member of Southern Persuasion, and has what I believe to be one of the finest singing voices in the area.

He previously fronted J.J. & Company, The Brandy Stills Band, and Pure Country.

Steve uses Takamine guitars, Schecter guitars, Latin Percussion equipment, Fender tuners, Shure in-ear monitoring, Line6 modelers, Sennheiser microphones, SKB Cases, Yamaha/Electrovoice/Shure/BBE PA equipment, Chauvet lighting equipment, and nothing else but his human voice.

Joe Jones - Drums, vocals: Besides being one of the finest drummers I've ever played with, Joe Jones has written some of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life.

Joe has kept time for The Genuine Virginia Band, Marge Calhoun and the New Heartaches, and Ramblin' Fever.

Joe uses Mapex drums/hardware, the self designed/custom made (Precision Drums) southwestern pattern & white marine pearl drum sets you have seen at our shows, and Gretsch / Drum Workshop / Pearl drums/hardware, Paiste and Zildjian cymbals, and Shure and Audio-Technica microphones. He also uses a Peavey/Behringer/Mackie/JBL/Eminence drum monitor rig nicknamed "Step Mother"

Louie Warren - Synth guitar, lead/slide guitar, harp, steel, vocals, not-the-fiddle: Let's see... I've known me as long as I can remember... I started playing guitar in 1966... I had "formal" guitar training... I picked up everything else... and if you ask any more questions I'll bring the fiddle! (Not the fiddle!)...

I have played in Shades of Darkness, Gashouse Dirty, The Gashouse Dirty Band, Black Horse, Gashouse, Nasty Habits, JBW, Crossroader, Sleepless Nights, and most recently with Southern Xcess. If I have offended anyone by omitting them... get over it... I'm having a senior moment.

I use Fender, Paul Reed Smith, Epiphone, Ovation, Gibson, Johnson, Kingston, Dwight, Line6, National guitars and steels; Roland GR-30 synth; Furman, AKG, Digitech, Danelectro, Visual Volume, Morley, Sony, Behringer, MXR, and Mesa-Boogie signal processing; NGM Pedal Systems pedalboards; Hohner, Lee Oskar harmonicas and Shure microphones; Line6, Mesa-Boogie, and Fender amplification, Weber & Eminence speakers, tuners, Shure in-ear monitoring, Electro-Voice microphones, and Whirlwind direct boxes; and Anvil, Keal, & SKB Cases and Tuki Covers.

Jeff Bowers - keyboards, vocals: Jeff 's keyboard skills and vocal abilities speak for themselves.

Jeff's played with local bands, No X-cuse, Desert Dreams, Sundown, and most recently has played with Rebellicious.

Jeff uses Yamaha Motif & Roland keyboards, TOA amplification, Korg M1, Proteus 2, D4 Drums, and an Alesis Quadraverb rack modules, tuners, Shure in-ear monitoring, and SKB cases.

Bobby Gibson - guitar, vocals: Bobby has been playing in the area since 1967. Bobby has most recently played with Southern Xcess, and Hot Water Soup.

Bobby uses Fender, G & L, Paul Reed Smith, Gibson, and Martin guitars, Mesa-Boogie, Fender, & Line6 amps, Shure & Sennheiser microphones, tuners, Shure in-ear monitoring, Digitech, Mesa-Boogie, Dunlop signal processing, Anvil cases, SKB cases, and Monster and Horizon cables.

Don Ryder- bass, vocals: Don has been playing in the area since 1966. He has played in a number of bands over the years including Music Box, Easy Street, Stoplight, Loonytunes, Smokin’ Country, Windsor, Shades of the Past

Don uses Fender and Dean bass guitars; Hartke, SWR and Gallien-Krueger amps, Shure microphones, Carvin in-ear monitoring, AKG wireless, Boss sound processing, SKB cases, and any electrically conductive cables.
