Well I hopped in my truck, it was a Saturday night
I had my pay day in my pocket, I was feelin' alright
I was cruisin' the town, lookin' for a good time
Found a jumpin' honky tonk across the county line
When I walked into the room she hit me like a night stick

Well I bought a drink, and then she asked me to dance
I wasn't lookin' for no trouble, just a little romance
She was laughin' about some silly thing I said
When I turned in time to see this big ol' cowboy gettin' red
I was duckin' and wonderin' how'd I get in this fix?

Well I was havin' a time, and now my time is done
'cos accordin' to this man, I'm havin' too much fun
With a woman he apparently thinks is his

Well I pointed to the ceilin', said "Look, what's up!"
And it was lucky for me, 'cos he was just that dumb
I flipped over a table, headed 'cross the floor
When I looked around for her, she was headed to the door
The boys were fightin' and we kinda got lost in the mix

Well when I got outside, that's where she turned up
With her high heels off, she's standin' by my truck
Then the door flew open, and he rolled outside
With a cut on his lip, a wild look in his eye
Gears were jammin', tires were smokin' as I started to git...
